Greenvale Vineyards, A new England Winery In Rhode Island
Arriving at Greenvale Vineyards, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, we turned into a small nation road off the main route. Rosecliff Pinot Gris – The Pinot Gris grape has confirmed to grow beautifully on Aquidneck Island. This mix of two vintages has lovely aromas, delicate fruit flavors, is tender on the palate and has a very pleasant finish. Glorious with lighter meals, akin to grilled seafood or summer time salads. (Roughly 500 instances produced).
Elms Meritage – Rhyming with “heritage”, this 2004 vintage is a mix of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, two conventional varietals of Bordeaux. The wine is a medium bodied, dry crimson — wonderful aromas of berry, smoke and delicate spice with a delicious, lingering end. It’s great by itself, as well as, with flavorful foods or darkish chocolate. The Meritage mix is 57% Cabernet Franc and forty three% Merlot. Barrel aged. (Roughly 146 instances produced).
